Minutes and information
Results of Officer/Board of Director meeting on Thursday, October 6th:
Since there are so many members and it is not necessary for all members to attend all meetings, it was decided that Google Classroom will be used to provide information.
in order to qualify for the annual trip, a point system will be used for participation in activities in addition to participation in fund raising. Activities which require participation outside of the school day such as the Family Fun or Regional Science Fair setup will count for 5 points. Activities which are held during the school day such as 3rd grade demos will count for 2 points. Time spent in preparation for activities (designing demonstrations, building devices, extra committee meetings, etc.) will count for extra points, usually 2 for each activity.
Meetings held during club time will be for committees and/or recycling. Attendance of members will be determined by which committtee(s) will need to meet. This information will be sent out via Google Classroom. Results or minutes of these meetings will be posted on Google Classroom. Members in attendance will be awarded 1 point and other members may earn that point by responding to the minutes "question' on Google Classroom.
Recycling will be done at the first meeting of each month and will count for 3 points. Recycle chair Jesus will rotate the members participating so everyone has an opportunity to earn the points. He will need about 10 to 12 people each time.
Even though many members signed up for committees on paper at the last meeting, there will be new signups via Google Classroom. You may sign up for as many committees as you wish.
Signing up for an activity and not showing up will result in a 1 point deduction unless there is an approved excuse.
Cortnie is planning on building a Face Book page for the club. Mr. Wilkinson will update the website for now but if a member is in web page class, that member could take it over!
